Another “Van Jones” makes his appearance‏

During the presidential campaign it was revealed that Barack Obama had, and continues to have, relationships with people like William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Shalid Khalidi, Tony Rezko, Bernadine Dohrn, and other assorted anti-American leftists, terrorists and thieves.  Of course he claimed only the most minor and innocuous affiliations with these characters, but evidence shows otherwise.  In fact, his involvement with nefarious personalities runs deep and has lasted, in some cases for decades, and includes business relationships and support of various political and socialist endeavors.
 
What should have been a welcome vetting of Barack Obama’s character, like in other presidential contests, never materialized.  Rather, just the opposite happened, in which misguided supporters and the “fringe media” (NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, Washington Post, etc.) all covered up the miscreants in his life and portrayed efforts to discuss these personal connections as merely baseless “witch hunts”.
 
As it seems to be turning out, Barack Obama’s character should very much be questioned as a review of the people surrounding him reveals strong Marxist/socialist influences, very unhealthy for the leader of the greatest and most important and indispensible country on Planet Earth.
 
With the exit of self-avowed communist/truther/racist Van Jones comes the remarks of Barack Obama’s Federal Communications Commission “diversity czar”, Mark Lloyd, whose job it seems is to oversee the licensing and ownership interests of radio broadcast outlets, with a special interest in destroying conservative talk radio.  How “Stalinesque”.
 
Mark Lloyd really seems to have a soft spot for Hugo Chavez and his “accomplishments” in Marxist Venezuela, as well as a problem with “white people” owning radio stations.  How “Stalinesque”.
 
Why does the president surround himself with people like this?  There are others too, like Ezekiel Emmanuel, Cass Sunstein, Carol Browning, Jeff Jones and on and on that hold views that are patently anti-American, anti-capitalist, anti-free market, and anti-Constitution.
 
These are the president’s personal inner circle, the people at his beck and call, that he sees every day.  Who are these people?  Why does the president trust them so much?  Why does he embrace them?  Why does he want these people in the same room as himself? 
 
What does the president think of our country?  What is his vision for the future of the United States?  Does that vision look anything like our vision of our country?
 
It’s time to start thinking about stuff like that, no?

“Obama, the Appeaser”……….or is it “Obama, the Capitulator”?‏

Either way, the president has just screwed our allies, demonstrated American weakness in the face of ruthless enemies, and put this country, and the world, in danger.  And he did that all in just one day.
 
Didn’t the Iranians just this year launch a satellite into orbit?  Doesn’t that give you pause that perhaps these people may not have a “ready for prime time” ballistic missile capable of landing a nuclear warhead now, but they’re clearly on the right track, no? 
 
Haven’t they been working at break-neck speed to develop a nuclear weapon?
 
Does any of this make any sense at all?

President Obama has made a dangerous and alarming decision to shelve our missile-defense system in Europe. Facing the growing threat from Iran’s nuclear ambition, the Pentagon’s Missile Defense Agency has worked long and hard to secure a site for the system to thwart a potential strike against our European allies. Developing the missile shield could also have important implications for U.S. security. His decision is wrong in every way, despite his rationale:

* The administration says that our intelligence believes the threat from Iran is not as far advanced as it had originally estimated. First, our intelligence regarding Iran is far from reliable and certain. Our window into the country is cloudy, at best. Other foreign intelligence agencies have reached very different conclusions. And second, it makes no sense to try to time the construction, testing, and deployment of a defense system to the very hour when one might guess the nuclear threat will arrive. No one is that prescient. Using the most rosy scenario of Iran’s nuclear capabilities to schedule the establishment of our defense is dangerous in the extreme.

* The administration believes that by giving such a gesture of goodwill to the Russians, they will be more willing to give in to our request that they join in sanctions against Iran. Here, the president’s lack of negotiation experience may have come in to play. Yes, sometimes in a negotiation you give up something that is important to you, but you do that only when the other party has agreed to give you something you want even more. You don’t give before you get. But here it’s even worse than that: The president has taught Putin that when he blusters and threatens, America caves.

* The administration is also teaching our friends some very unfortunate lessons; the Eastern Europeans who have stood so valiantly with America and who took political heat for backing the missile-defense system have simply been brushed aside. They have to wonder why America is treating its foes better than it is treating its friends. It’s a question that also is surely being asked in Israel and Honduras.

* The administration’s discounting of Iran’s nuclear progress tells Israel that if it is to stop what its own intelligence may believe is an imminent threat, it may have to act alone — and precipitously.

Iran is not cooperating with the IAEA. It is rushing headlong towards nuclear capability — it may already have enough enriched uranium to build a bomb. And it may well have secured access to missile technology from other nations. North Korea is, of course, much further along. And Pakistan, a state threatened from within by jihadists, has extensive nuclear capabilities. In such an environment, it is alarming and dangerous for the president to walk away from our missile-defense commitments.

Something Very Disturbing is Happening to Our Country‏

There’s something very disturbing happening in this country and it all started on or about January 20, 2009.  It’s palpable, you can feel it, and you probably fear it.  My golf buddies from the Ukraine and Belarus say they know this feeling from before and have a word for this fear……….it’s called tyranny.

 The insidiousness of this fear is that it doesn’t always come at you in a fire storm, like say health care reform…..so big, so obvious, so dangerous, so incompetent.

 With a price tag of between $1 and $2 trillion for starters, health care reform comes with no appreciable benefit and almost no reason beyond the say so of politicians to even be thinking about vast and complete fundamental changes to what is clearly the best, safest, and most advanced health care system in the world.   Why would the president and the Democrats think of making broad changes to what is essentially the only single health care system on the entire planet that places the health and life of an individual over only the cost of treating that individual? 

 And why would that same president claim that “opponents” to his plans are merely responding to the evil “special interests” when the AMA, AARP, Big Pharma, hospital and nursing associations, and health insurance associations already agree with his plans.  What “special interests” is he even talking about?  He’s talking about the “American Public.”  The American Public is the “special interest” that the president wants you to ignore.  It’s you!  The president wants you to be ignored, and that helps fuel your feeling of tyranny.

And why would Democrats call opponents and protestors “Nazis”, “evil-mongers”, “thugs”, “Astroturf” and worse?  And why would the president himself call upon his own forces to mobilize in response?  And when ever has there been a president with actual physical forces to mobilize?  And when has there ever been a president whose word to mobilize leads to actual busses full of union workers and so-called community organizers to meet with the president’s opponents literally head-on, and doesn’t that help fuel your feeling of tyranny?

 But, no, that’s not only what I’m talking about. 

I’m talking about other, less conspicuous stuff, like the recent Van Jones affair, where an Obama Czar is selected to be in charge of so-called “green jobs”, with presumed responsibility for spending probably hundreds of billions of dollars over the next few years and setting policy that could take generations to undo, yet is a self-avowed communist, 9/11 “truther” and racist.  And here there is disturbing feelings of why would the president surround himself with people like this, and why didn’t the establishment media cover the case at all instead of trying to cover it up?  And that helps fuel your feeling of tyranny.

 I’m talking about ACORN being involved in voter fraud and corporate shakedowns nationwide and other nefarious behaviors as well as participating as an actual bonafide criminal front group, yet the president meets with them and invites them to the table to help set his agenda, and using them to help with the census count, and voter registration, and health reform and every other manner of activism on the part of his administration.  Why exactly would the president surround himself with people like this?  And why would the National Education Association (NEA), also known as the teacher’s union, want to be associated with this organization to the tune of a $1.2 million contribution to their support.  And why is the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) sharing the same office space with these people, thereby helping fuel your feeling of tyranny. http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=OTk5ZGNmNWU2MWRhY2Q3MWQ5ZDc0ZGRhOTkxMDAzMzc=

 I’m talking about the September 12th tea party that drew common everyday citizens, from all over the country, to Washington DC to draw attention to constitutional abuse and the growing intrusion of government, yet the vastness of the movement is purposely and maliciously made to look small and insignificant by those running interference for and supporting the administration, instead of thinking about the good of the country.  Media estimates ranged from the vague “tens of thousands” to “75,000” protestors, while the National Park Services’ estimate was set at 1.2 million and even the local ABCNews affiliate initially set the estimate at 2 million before getting pulled by their national headquarters.  Why would they do that? http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/30493/

 And what about the president’s and Democratic Party plans to take over the college loan program to the tune of $1 trillion whereby the government can perhaps dictate what colleges your child goes to, what their major will be, and where they’ll work after graduation?  The same for the recently passed and enacted college debt repayment program where debt will be forgiven after 10 years of work in a public sector job, perhaps chosen by the government, in which there is the likelihood of you or your child joining a public service employee union, thereby cultivating future democrat voters on the public dime?http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203440104574405154157021052.html

Possibly most disturbing is the casting of many people like Jeff Jones, Founder of the 1960’s radical and communist organization “the Weather Underground”, as advisors, influential contributors and self avowed anti-capitalists to the inner circle of President Barack Obama.  Who are these people and why would the president surround himself with these characters and miscreants?  This is like having William Ayers, Shalid Khalidi, Jeremiah Wright and the others from Obama’s nefarious past right here in the White House itself.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9If_Xupklqw

And this ongoing drone about “racism” every time someone opposes the president, that racism is the reason for every action against this administration.  It’s disgusting and destructive and needs to stop and only those hurling those terrible and witless ad homonym charges can stop it.  Not too long ago my liberal and independent friends, who voted for Barack Obama, claimed that his election would once and for all mitigate the claim that America was a racist country, for how could that charge stand after the good will of white people elected him to office?  I took the opposite argument, that Barack Obama’s election would set race relations in America back about 30 years or more because no one would be allowed to criticize the president without his race being called into question.  I’m sorry to say I was completely right in that regard.  Too bad for all of us, being surrounded by “race pimps” as we are.

 And that feeling has come to pass in all but 8 short months. 

 As Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.  We didn’t pass it on to our children in the bloodstream.  It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the Unites States where men were free.”

 My Ukraine and Belarus friends sense what’s in the wind and it seems all too sickeningly familiar.  It’s clearly time for Conservatives and other liberty loving people of good will to act!

 


The President Learned Nothing From August‏

The president gave his speech last night and now we’ll see what happens.  Some say he’s a great communicator and can sell people on essentially anything he deems important.  Again, we’ll see.

It should be noted, however, that just because someone is a good communicator and salesman that the words spoken should be taken and consumed without running it through your own personal calculus of common sense and life experience.  If you don’t believe me, think Bernie Madoff, for crying out loud.

Here’s a question that remains unanswered, “Who among you is prepared to give up your present health insurance, and the benefits it comes with, to change to a proposed government plan, regardless of which of the myriad government plans becomes the law of the land?  Here’s the answer, just in case those in denial are afraid of the answer their brains, not their hearts, have actually calculated is in their best interests……NONE, NOBODY, ZERO……nobody in their right mind would willingly make that change. That’s the right answer.
