After you finish reading those 778 pages of complete insanity you should then read Newt Ginrich’s 12-step plan below. Then compare the two.
- Payroll Tax Stimulus. With a temporary new tax credit to offset 50% of the payroll tax, every small business would have more money, and all Americans would take home more of what they earn.
- Real Middle-Income Tax Relief. Reduce the marginal tax rate of 25% down to 15%, in effect establishing a flat-rate tax of 15% for close to 9 out of 10 American workers.
- Reduce the Business Tax Rate. Match Ireland’s rate of 12.5% to keep more jobs in America.
- Homeowner’s Assistance. Provide tax credit incentives to responsible home buyers so they can keep their homes.
- Control Spending So We Can Move to a Balanced Budget. This begins with eliminating Congressional earmarks and wasteful pork-barrel spending.
- No State Aid Without Protection From Fraud. Require state governments to adopt anti-fraud and anti-theft policies before giving them more money.
- More American Energy Now. Explore for more American oil and gas and invest in affordable energy for the future, including clean coal, ethanol, nuclear power and renewable fuels.
- Abolish Taxes on Capital Gains. Match China, Singapore and many other competitors. More investment in America means more jobs in America.
- Protect the Rights of American Workers. We must protect a worker’s right to decide by secret ballot whether to join a union, and the worker’s right to freely negotiate. Forced unionism will kill jobs in America at a time when we can’t afford to lose them.
- Replace Sarbanes-Oxley. This failed law is crippling entrepreneurial startups. Replace it with affordable rules that help create jobs, not destroy them.
- Abolish the Death Tax. Americans should work for their families, not for Washington.
- Invest in Energy and Transportation Infrastructure. This includes a new, expanded electric power grid and a 21st century air traffic control system that will reduce delays in air travel and save passengers, employees and airlines billions of dollars per year.

The following commentary appeared in the American Spectator (February 16, 2009) and discusses a serious concern for all Americans that love their country. The Congressional Democrats and the Obama Administration are now discussing ways to limit political dissent, internet use and actual free speech content. Discussions are underway for the federal government to determine ways to bring into use “watch dogs” and “community advisory boards” and other contrivances to limit and control the material Americans can get. If this doesn’t sound very “Soviet” I’m not sure what does.
Without free speech the Constitution is meaningless and the government then becomes free to control every single thing you do in your life, not unlike the governments in China, Cuba and worse. As I often say, this should scare the daylights out of you. As I also often say, this is what you get when you elect democrats/socialists/liberals, and yes Marxists, to positions of power in this country.
We are clearly a country under assault from within.
I welcome any of your own thoughts.

It is really quite extraordinary that virtually everything that is great about this country is under assault. Here now comes the government, setting up an agency for the express purpose of regulating the stuff you exhale with each and every breath. Any agency that can regulate carbon dioxide can regulate YOU. Are you getting that?
They can regulate what you eat, how much you eat, how much heat or air conditioning you can use, how far from home you can travel, what appliances you can own, what kind of house you can live in, the number of people that must live in a house, the kind of car you can drive, the number of cars you can own, whether you can own a car at all, and on and on.
The government controlling carbon dioxide will eventually become a government not unlike China and Cuba and worse. This is a very bad thing we’re doing.

People ask me why I think there’s a problem with illegal immigration. Most of the people I know, and most of the people you probably know, are the children, grandchildren or great grandchildren of immigrants so what’s good for us should be good for them, no?
The answer is NO. You cannot have unlimited illegal immigration in a welfare state and survive. Our forebears came here knowing they would either survive on their own, or have to go back from where they came, or die. That was it. They had no safety net, or free health benefits or any of that stuff.
If you want unlimited immigration you need to stop the handouts, stop welfare. Amazingly enough, under Obama and the stimulus bill, welfare will increase and thrive and eventually will swallow all of us in its diabolical net.
